Type 2008
description
The Type 2008 is an underwater, acoustic communications device for surface ships, also known as an "underwater telephone." The equipment operates in high-frequency and allows surface ships to transmit messages to submerged submarines. It also works with the Type 2010 acoustic teletype and the processor for the Type 2026 towed array.
