The SS 105 is a hull-mounted active scanning sonar that was designed for Norwegian coast guard ships.
The NORDHAPP class in Norway had its SS 105 sonar replaced with the SS 270 commercial fish-location sonar.
The 48-stave transducer is housed in a streamlined retractable hull dome that can withstand speeds up to 25 knots.
