Slim Net was a Russian high-definition naval air- and surface-search radar.
The antenna was an open, lattice-type tapered elliptical paraboloid with a flared, four-legged feed horn mounting and two large balancing vanes.
Onboard the MODIFIED SKORY-class destroyers, the Slim Net radar was mounted on the mainmast.
Out of service.
The Slim Net radar entered service in 1957, replacing the Hair Net radar on Soviet cruisers and destroyers. By the 1990s the radar was phasing out of service...
