The Protivnik-GE (Russian designation: 59N6-E) is a three-dimensional L-band air defense radar designed for air surveillance; target detection; target position and velocity measurement; and high-resolution tracking at long range and in intensive jamming environments. The radar can be integrated with air defense and air traffic control networks. The Protivnik-GE is said to be analogous to the Lockheed Martin FPS-117 and Selex Sistemi Integrati RAT-31 radars.
