The J/MPQ-P7 is a Japanese-developed mobile artillery-locating radar, sharing certain design characteristics of the U.S. Hughes-built AN/TPQ-36 and AN/TPQ-37 mortar/artillery locating radars (see separate database entries). It consists of three separate components: a tracked prime mover/operations vehicle, a four-wheel planar array antenna trailer and a two-wheel power generator trailer.
