The Fieldguard artillery fire-direction system is an all-weather system for cannon and rocket artillery. Through the use of radar tracking rounds or rockets in flight, the system detects the influences of weather and weapon conditions on proposed trajectories. The optimum firing data are determined by the Fieldguard computers and transmitted automatically to the weapons.
