The DWL002 is an emitter locating system (ELS) developed by China. It is a development of older Russian designs, such as the KRTP Tamara series and the Czech ERA Vera-E. It is more advanced than the Chinese YLC-20 system, which was based on the KRTP-91 Tamara. The radar is designed for air defense and coastal monitoring missions.
