These are ground-based search and ground control interception (GCI) radars with a configuration similar to the Bar Lock ** GCI radar.
The Big Bar** has a six-feed antennae system, but the significant difference is that two antennae are arranged to provide V-beams in elevation, having the upper, rear antenna angled 25 to 30 deg from the horizontal, thus providing a limited height-finding capability.
