The Back Trap** is an early warning radar associated with the SA-5 Gammon** surface-to-air missile (SAM) system. It is thought to have been a variant of the Back Net radar system and was the next-generation radar system to replace the Back Net with the SA-5. The Back Trap operates in the VHF-band, utilizing two parabolic mesh reflectors mounted on either side of the trailer's main structure The antenna has a height of 52.5 ft (16 m) and scans at six revolutions per minute (rpm).
