The Zaslon is an active protection system designed to protect fixed installations as well as tanks and tracked or wheeled infantry fighting vehicles.

The system is capable of destroying all forms of anti-armor weaponry, regardless of trajectory or guidance system, including armor-piercing, fin-stabilizing, discarding-sabot (APFSDS) projectiles and guided anti-tank missiles, according to company officials.
