The Modular Aircraft Self-Protection Equipment (MASE) is an electronic warfare system that was originally developed by Terma for Dutch air force AH-64 Apache attack helicopters deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq. The modular system has since been integrated with additional platforms, including AW101 , Mi-17 , Mi-24 and AS 550 Fennec helicopters, according to Terma. The advanced CHASE configuration is installed on the CH-47F Chinook.
