The Big Bulge** was an aircraft surface search and missile targeting radar. It was used with a video data link to transmit radar pictures of target ships to missile-launching aircraft or submarines.
The Big Bulge-A (Uspekh-1A) was fitted in a large, under-fuselage radome bulge on Bear -D** long-range naval reconnaissance aircraft (no longer in service).
