Varunastra heavyweight torpedo

The Varunastra is an indigenously designed and built wire-guided heavyweight torpedo in service with the Indian navy. It can be launched by aircraft, surface ships and submarines. The weapon features about 95 percent indigenous content.

The Varunastra is designed to target stealthy submarines in both deep and coastal waters including environments with significant countermeasures.
