The Torped 47 (Tp 47), also known as the Saab Lightweight Torpedo, is a Swedish wire-guided lightweight torpedo designed for anti-submarine warfare (ASW). It can also be used against surface targets. It is an advancement on the Tp 45 torpedo, part of the Tp 4 series of Swedish 400-mm lightweight torpedoes (see separate record for more information). Developed for the Swedish navy, the Tp 47 is optimized for littoral operations and the shallow water environments of the Baltic Sea....
