The MDM-3 is a small aircraft- or surface-launched three-channel fuzed (acoustic/electromagnetic/pressure) bottom mine developed for export. This mine is fitted with a breaking parachute to allow a high level of mission security and low altitude drops.

The warhead is equivalent to 660 lb (300 kg) of TNT.

It can be deployed in water that is 77 ft (35 m) deep. The MDM-3 is deployable by ships at speeds of up to 15 knots (17 mph, 28 kph), and by aircraft at speeds of up to 620 mph...
