This was a moored, medium contact mine, similar to the MKB mine. The main difference between the MKB and the M-AG was the M-AG's antenna firing mechanism and deeper operation. It could be used with or without horns. Case-depth settings were from 8-146 ft (2.4-44 m). Minimum distance between mines was 115 ft (35 m).
