The EM-52, known as the T-1 in Chinese service, is a rocket-propelled rising mine developed for the Chinese navy. It may have been inspired by early Russian models. The weapon resembles a finned bomb, and is deployed in depths of up to 360 ft (110 m), although some sources claim an operational depth of up to 660 ft (200 m).
