Developed prior to World War II, circa 1939. The design was modified from a 1912 Russian mine.

Current service status unavailable. If this mine still exists in the inventories of any nation, it is likely in limited and dwindling numbers. Formerly listed in service in Bulgaria, Cuba, North Korea, Russia, Syria, Ukraine and Vietnam.
