The Egyptian VAP 80-mm MRL system was mounted on an Egyptian-built jeep and provided fire support for light infantry units. The 12-round launcher unit was mounted at the rear of the vehicle; elevation and traverse were manual. Before firing, two stabilizers were lowered to support the vehicle.
