The Hanwha 70-mm multiple rocket launcher (MRL) system consists of a tracked or wheeled chassis equipped with a launcher that contains 40 launch tubes in the ready-to-launch position. The tubes are arranged in five rows of eight rockets.

The system is designed to undertake fire missions that would take longer from a 120-mm mortar battery.
