The BM-30 Smerch (Tornado) is a 300-mm multiple rocket launcher system designed to engage a wide range of targets. It is called the 9K58 Smerch in Russian service.

The system consists of the 9A52-2 combat vehicle, the 1K123 Vivary fire-control system and the 9T234-2 LTV transloading vehicle. The 9A52-2 and the 9T234-2 are based on the MAZ 543 8x8 truck. The system can also be integrated with the Tatra 816 chassis.
