The 140-mm Teruel is a 40-round multiple rocket launcher (MRL) mounted at the rear of a Pegaso 3050 6 x 6 truck. It was originally developed by the Council for Rocket Research and Development of the Spanish Ministry of Defense as a replacement for older multiple rocket launchers in service with the Spanish army.
The launching unit consists of two pods of 20 rockets each, arranged in four rows of five.
