The Type 75 multiple rocket launcher (MRL) was mounted on the chassis of a Type 73 armored personnel carrier (APC) and consisted of a 30-round launcher frame fitted at the rear of the hull.
The driver was at the front left side of the hull in a slightly raised position, with the commander to his right . In front and to the right of the commander's position was a 12.7-mm M2 HB machine gun. The operator was seated behind the commander and had the engine compartment to his left.
