The M63 Plamen (Flame) is a 32-round rocket launcher that is fired from a two-wheel, artillery-type, split-trail carriage. The elevation, traverse, launch controls and sight are all on the left side of the launcher.
The M63 fires the M-63 spin-stabilized rocket with a high-explosive (HE) warhead.
The Plamen is usually organized into multiple rocket launcher (MRL) battalions with four launchers each.
