The 108-R MRL system consisted of a launcher for 16 108-mm, spin-stabilized rockets fired from the X2A1 two-wheel trailer launcher. The launcher had three firing jacks for stabilization.

A 160-ft (50-m) cable was used to connect the launcher with a remote-control panel. The 108-R fired a high-explosive (HE) warhead.

The rocket was spin-stabilized by one central and six canted rocket nozzles. The motor burned for half a second to attain a maximum velocity at 1,342 fps (409 m/s) at...
