The SLAM-Pampero 105-mm MRL system consists of a 16-round launcher unit -- two rows of eight rockets -- mounted at the rear of a Mercedes Benz 4 x 4 truck.

The rockets are the wrap-around, fin-stabilized type and have a single-stage, solid-propellant motor.

Before the rockets are fired, two stabilizers are lowered at the rear of the vehicle. The SLAM-Pampero can also be launched from an aircraft using the Yaguarete launcher.
