The SS-26 Stone, in Russian service known as the Iskander-M, is the newest short-range ballistic missile (SRBM) fielded by Moscow, probably intended to replace the SS-23 Spider. It is designed for accurate strikes against high-priority, small-sized and dispersed area targets.
