The KD-63 (KongDi-63) is an air-launched land-attack cruise missile. It provides standoff range and precision strike capabilities for China's H-6H and H-6K bombers. The KD-63 is derived from the YJ-6 (C-601), itself a development of the Silkworm anti-ship missile and the HY-4 (CSS-C-7 Sadsack) anti-ship missile.
The missile is designed to strike large fixed ground installations such as bridges, command posts and barracks day or night and in all weather conditions.
