The M-7 (Chinese designation 8610 Project) is a short-range ballistic missile (SRBM), which is designated the CSS-8 by Western analysts. It is similar to the Russian SS-21 and the American Lance missile. It is part of China's "M" series of surface-to-surface missiles (SSM).

Derived from the HQ-2 surface-to-air missile (SAM) (the Chinese version of the Russian SA-2 Guideline), the M-7 uses a storable liquid propellant instead of the solid propellant used by other M-series SSMs.
