CB-500 cluster bomb

A further development of the CB-100 and CB-130 cluster bombs, the CB-500 provided a larger bomblet payload while maintaining the ability to withstand the high-g forces experienced by fighters maneuvering in a battlespace.

The CB-500 dispenser had a tapered nose and four fins that flipped out to deploy after launch. The nose cone contained an electronic variable-setting fuze. The main compartment carried 240 PM-1 multipurpose bomblets, giving the weapon anti-personnel, anti-armor...
