A further development of the CB-100 and CB-130 cluster bombs, the CB-500 provides for a larger bomblet payload while maintaining the ability to withstand the high-g forces experienced by fighters maneuvering in a battlespace.

The CB-500 dispenser has a tapered nose and four fins that flip out to deploy after launch. The nose cone contains an electronic variable-setting fuze. The main compartment carries 240 PM-1 multipurpose bomblets, giving the weapon anti-personnel, anti-armor...
