The B-611 is a road-mobile, short-range ballistic missile. It was designed to provide a cheap, accurate weapon capable of maneuvering during flight at a low trajectory to make defense more difficult. The Chinese missile is thought to have two pop-out wings and four fixed tail fins. The wings enable the missile to stay at low altitude during flight, reportedly about 22 mi (35 km), and maneuver to avoid interceptors. The B-611 is armed with a high-explosive fragmentation warhead.
