The Hatf-1 ("Deadly") short-range ballistic missile (SRBM) was developed in tandem with the Hatf-2 SRBM (see separate record).
It is a solid-propellant missile probably developed with aid from China, though Pakistan has claimed it received no assistance. It strongly resembles the Chinese M-series missiles. Little is known about the missile or its role.
The Hatf-1 is a cylinder with a long, pointed nose and four rectangular control fins at the base.
