The Agni is a family of long-range ballistic missiles developed by India. The design has evolved over time into new models featuring improved technology and greater range. See "Variants," below, for more information.

The Agni I (Fire) is a medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM), consisting of a two-stage rocket carrying a single warhead. It was fielded by the Indian Strategic Forces Command in 2007.
