The Umtas (uzun menzilli tanksavar sistemi, or long-range anti-tank missile) has been developed by Roketsan for integration with the Turkish army's new T129 attack helicopters. It shares many components with the smaller Omtas missile.
The Umtas is equipped with an Aselsan imaging infrared guidance system, with lock-on before launch (LOBL) and lock-on after launch (LOAL) modes and a fire-and-forget homing phase.
