The Nag (Cobra) is the product of a long-running Indian program to produce a third-generation fire-and-forget anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) to replace the AT-5 Spandrel and Milan weapons in Indian service.

It is part of the Indian Defense Development and Research Organization's (DRDO) Integrated Guided-Missile Development Program (IGMDP).
