RBU-2500 ASW mortar

The 16-barrel RBU-2500 is an anti-submarine rocket launcher in use on older Russian destroyers and frigates, including some that have been transferred to other navies.

The launcher has two horizontal rows of eight barrels.


The system is in limited service with former Soviet/Russian ships now serving with other nations.

Initial operational capability (IOC) was attained in 1957.
