This six-barrel ASW rocket launcher is mounted on several classes of Russian cruisers and destroyers, often in combination with the RBU-6000.

The barrels of the weapon are loaded automatically while in a vertical position. They are fired sequentially.

The rocket may have an anti-torpedo capability.

Initial operational capability (IOC) was reached in 1962.
