The Qader is an anti-ship cruise missile developed indigenously by Iran. It is reportedly based on the Chinese C-802 (NATO: CSS-C-8 Saccade). See separate record for more information. Qader is Farsi for "mighty."
The missile can be fired from surface ships; vehicles in a coastal defense configuration; and aircraft. The weapons were initially produced in the shore-based model. The Qader is designed to fly at low altitudes to avoid detection.
