BAL-E coastal defense system

The BAL-E mobile coastal defense system combines a ground-launched variant of the SS-N-25 (Russian designation Kh-35; see separate record) with a mobile wheeled control system. Its purpose is to destroy surface ships and landing craft along the coast.
