The PJ-10 BrahMos (which is named after the Brahmaputra and Moscow (Moskva) rivers in India and Russia) is a supersonic sea-launched cruise missile (SLCM) designed as an Indian-Russian joint venture. The venture was formed in February 1998 by India's Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and Russia's NPO Mashinostroyenia (NPOM) as joint partners.
