The Sea Oryx is a short-range surface-to-air missile system developed by the Chung Shan Institute of Science and Technology (CSIST) in Taiwan as a replacement for close-in weapon systems onboard naval vessels. It will be deployed on small- and medium-sized vessels, according to CSIST officials. The system is designed to defend against cruise missiles, anti-radiation missiles, small drones, helicopters and low-flying aircraft. A land-based variant is under development.
