The SA-N-1 (Russian M-1 Volna system) is a shipboard surface-to-air missile (SAM) system first deployed in the early 1960s. The missile is the naval variant of the land-based SA-3 Goa (see separate record for more information).
It has limited surface-to-surface capability and its performance has been less than satisfactory.
