The 50R6 Vityaz is a medium-range air defense system designed to replace Russia's aging S-300PS (SA-10 Grumble) systems. Initial deliveries began in 2016. It will complement the Morfey, S-400 (SA-21 Growler) and S-500 air defense systems for Moscow's future aerospace defense network.
