The PRB 408 consists of a polyethylene case with a carrying handle located on one side. The mine contains the explosive charge, pressure-initiated fuze and the pressure plate.

The fuze fits into the fuze well in the center of the mine body and is covered by the pressure plate. The fuze functions when the pressure plate collapses.
