The PMN-2, which was developed in the former Soviet Union, is a pressure-activated anti-personnel blast mine and the successor to the PMN mine.
While similar in size to the PMN, the PMN-2 is a completely new design. The main improvement is the incorporation of a blast-resistant pressure fuze in the PMN-2. The mine also appears to be capable of mechanical emplacement.
