The PMA-2 is a small antipersonnel mine detonated by a UPMAH-2 chemical action pressure fuze. The PMA-2 mine is blast-resistant due to the small surface area to which the UPMAH-2 fuze is exposed.
The mine's firing train consists of the detonator (containing 2.55 g of potassium chlorate, lead azide, antimony and sulfide), a hexogen (RDX) booster and the main TNT explosive charge.
