A general-purpose demolition charge, the cardboard-encased MT-4 consisted of a cylindrical block of TNT with two holes that ran lengthwise through the body. These holes were used to place detonating cord, permitting double priming of the MT-4's charge without resorting to other detonators. A threaded well at one end of the charge (M 10 x 1 thread) accepted a variety of standard fuzes or detonators.
