The MRUD (Mina Rasprskavajuca Usmerenog Dejstva, or mine, directed fragmentation) directional fragmentation land mine contains a convex-shaped plastic explosive with 650 pre-fragmented 5.5-mm steel balls molded into the front of the explosive.

Folding scissor-leg supports and two fuse wells are manufactured as part of the mine's plastic body. The electrical test set, firing clacker and 100-ft (30-m) firing cable are identical to the items equipped with the U.S. M18A1 Claymore. An...
