Argentina’s Patagon is a domestically developed light tank based on the Austrian SK-105 chassis and 105-mm FL-12P gun turrets taken from retired Argentine AMX-13 tanks.

The tank was intended for deployment in the Patagonia region, where the terrain does not allow the operation of heavier vehicles. The Patagon was expected to serve as a replacement for the AMX-13 tanks.
